Kenya
is accelerating efforts to transform its healthcare system through strategic
partnerships aimed at strengthening its Digital Health Superhighway and scaling
the use of artificial intelligence in health services.
Officials
from the Ministry of Health Kenya, through the Digital Health Agency, held a
consultative meeting with CRDF Global and Helios Intel AI to explore
collaboration on AI-driven health solutions.

The
discussions focused on enhancing the Digital Health Superhighway, developing a
sovereign AI-driven data lake ecosystem, improving system interoperability, and
strengthening the security of digital health infrastructure.
The
initiative is aligned with the United States Government–Kenya Bilateral Health
Cooperation Framework and supports the country’s Universal Health Coverage
objectives. Stakeholders examined practical approaches to expanding investment
in digital health, with a particular emphasis on leveraging artificial
intelligence to improve disease surveillance and response mechanisms.

Officials
reaffirmed Kenya’s openness to global collaboration, highlighting the
importance of shared expertise in advancing healthcare delivery and achieving
sustainable health outcomes. The partnerships are expected to support national
priorities by enhancing frontline surveillance systems, streamlining health
data management, and reducing fragmentation across digital platforms.
The
engagement reflects Kenya’s broader commitment to integrating advanced
technologies into its healthcare system to improve efficiency, resilience, and
access to quality services.
