Numérique S.A. (SENUM SA) and the Agence pour l’Économie et la Maîtrise de
l’Énergie (AEME) have initialled a strategic framework agreement aimed at
promoting the rational use of energy through digital technologies.
The
partnership comes amid a global context of volatile oil prices and aligns with
Senegal’s broader objective of reducing its national energy bill while
strengthening efficiency across key sectors.

Speaking
on the agreement, AEME Director Coumba Ndiaye stated that the collaboration
supports the country’s ambition to achieve greater energy sovereignty through
innovative and sustainable approaches.
SENUM
SA Chief Executive Officer Isidore Diouf indicated that upcoming joint
initiatives will focus on the hosting and security of data on national digital
infrastructure, positioning technology as a central enabler of energy
management.
The
agreement reflects a growing convergence between digital transformation and
energy policy, as Senegal seeks to leverage data-driven solutions to optimise
consumption, enhance resilience, and support long-term economic sustainability.
