Orange
RDC has been recognised for its commitment to gender equality, with its Chief
Executive Officer Brutus Sadou Diakite receiving a national distinction during
the second edition of the National Day of Positive Masculinity.
The
ceremony, held under the high patronage of President Félix Tshisekedi, brought
together government officials and private sector leaders to reaffirm the
country’s commitment to promoting gender equality and inclusive social
development.

Diakite
was among twelve institutional and private sector leaders honoured for their
efforts in advancing positive masculinity and gender inclusion within their
organisations. The award was presented by the Ministry of Gender, Family and
Children in recognition of sustained initiatives aimed at fostering equity in
the workplace.
The
recognition builds on ongoing efforts within Orange DRC to integrate gender
equality into its corporate strategy, positioning inclusivity as a driver of
organisational growth and innovation.

Company
officials noted that the initiative aligns with a broader vision established by
former leadership and continued by the current management, which emphasises the
role of both men and women in driving social and economic progress.
The
National Day of Positive Masculinity serves as a platform to encourage
behavioural change and promote shared responsibility in advancing gender
equality across the Democratic Republic of Congo.
