A
new youth-focused artificial intelligence initiative, the Kojo Bonsu Gen Z AI
Club, has been launched to promote collaboration between Ghanaian and Chinese
youth in the field of AI.
The
initiative, named after Kojo Bonsu, Ghana’s Ambassador to China, was officially
unveiled at an event hosted by the Embassy of Ghana in China. The launch
brought together Ghanaian students in China, who were inducted as founding
members of the club.

The
programme is designed to foster knowledge exchange, build technical capacity,
and encourage cross-cultural collaboration in artificial intelligence, a field
increasingly seen as central to economic transformation and innovation.
Participants
at the event underscored the importance of equipping young Africans with the
skills and networks required to navigate and contribute to the rapidly evolving
digital landscape. The club is expected to serve as a platform for dialogue,
learning, and joint initiatives, particularly in exploring how AI can be
applied to address development challenges across Africa.

The
launch reflects growing efforts to strengthen international partnerships in
technology while positioning Ghanaian youth to play an active role in the
global AI ecosystem.
