A delegation
of European medical technology companies has concluded a two-day mission to
Tunisia aimed at strengthening industrial partnerships and expanding
collaboration in the medical devices sector.
The
mission, was facilitated by the European Union Delegation to Tunisia and
brought together European medtech stakeholders with Tunisian companies involved
in the production of syringes, catheters, implants and diagnostic equipment.

Activities
included a structured networking workshop featuring targeted
business-to-business meetings and knowledge-sharing sessions, as well as site
visits to leading Tunisian firms such as PEC MED, SOFAP Medical and Consomed.
The visits provided participants with direct insight into Tunisia’s industrial
capabilities and manufacturing expertise in the medtech sector.
The
engagement enabled stakeholders from both Europe and Tunisia to deepen ties,
identify areas for collaboration and explore new export opportunities,
reinforcing Tunisia’s position as a growing hub for medical device
manufacturing in the region.

The
initiative forms part of the EXPORTI programme under the CQE project,
implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit in
partnership with Tunisia’s Ministry of Industry, Mines and Energy, with
financial support from the European Union and the German Federal Ministry for
Economic Cooperation and Development.
