Anadata
has announced that its Chota Address Verification System (AVS) has been named
Most Outstanding Startup at the Nigerian Communications Satellite Limited Space
Accelerator 2.0 Cohort.
The
award was presented during Nigerian Satellite Week 2026, held at the Abuja
Continental Hotel, as part of activities marking NIGCOMSAT’s 20th anniversary.

Chota
AVS is designed to address challenges associated with unreliable location data
in emerging markets. The system leverages aggregated location intelligence to
make addresses verifiable and actionable, with applications spanning logistics,
financial services, and public infrastructure.
Anadata
described the recognition as a significant validation of its mission to enhance
trust through improved address verification systems. The company noted that
inefficiencies in location data often create barriers across multiple sectors,
positioning its solution as a critical layer in strengthening service delivery
and operational efficiency.

The
company also acknowledged the role of NIGCOMSAT leadership, including Jane
Egerton-Idehen, in supporting innovation through the accelerator programme,
which aims to empower startups within Nigeria’s space and communications
ecosystem.
The
recognition highlights the growing importance of satellite-enabled solutions
and digital infrastructure in driving innovation and economic development
across the region, with startups increasingly playing a central role in
building scalable, technology-driven solutions.
