The Global Africa Tech Summit commenced with a strong opening day in Algiers, bringing together government officials, industry leaders, and technology experts from across the continent and beyond.

The event, held under the high patronage of the President of the Republic of Algeria and organized by the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications, was officially supervised by the Prime Minister alongside the Minister of Posts and Telecommunications and several other government ministers. High-level delegations from multiple African countries, as well as representatives of continental and international institutions, were in attendance.

The opening day featured a series of high-level sessions, panel discussions, and keynote lectures focused on strategic issues shaping Africa’s digital transformation. Participants engaged in discussions covering innovation, infrastructure development, digital policy, and emerging technologies, reflecting the growing importance of the tech sector in driving economic growth and regional integration.

Organizers described the first day as a significant milestone, marked by strong engagement and knowledge exchange among stakeholders. The summit continues on March 29 and 30 at the International Conference Center Abdellatif Rahal, where further discussions and collaborations are expected to advance Africa’s digital agenda.
