The National ICT Innovation
Hub has joined government agencies, regulators and technology industry
stakeholders at Uganda’s inaugural National Cybersecurity Conference 2026,
highlighting locally developed solutions aimed at strengthening the country’s
digital resilience.
The conference, organised by
the Uganda Communications Commission (UCC) and held at the Sheraton Kampala
Hotel, brought together representatives from government, financial
institutions, telecommunications operators, technology companies and other
stakeholders to discuss emerging cybersecurity challenges and ways to build a
more secure digital ecosystem.
The National ICT Innovation
Hub participated alongside innovators from its ecosystem, showcasing homegrown
technologies designed to support digital transformation, address cybersecurity
risks and respond to practical challenges across different sectors.
The conference also provides
an opportunity for stakeholders across the public and private sectors to
exchange knowledge and strengthen collaboration around cybersecurity as
Uganda’s digital economy continues to expand.
With increasing reliance on
digital platforms and services, the development of locally relevant
cybersecurity capabilities and technologies remains important to protecting
digital infrastructure, businesses and citizens.
