Engineer Diazola Lunda, a
specialist in aerospace science and technology and former Head of the
Infrastructure Department at Angola’s National Space Program Management Office
(GGPEN), has been appointed Executive Director of the Instituto Angolano das Comunicações
(INACOM).
Lunda holds a Master’s
degree in Aerospace Science and Technology and brings more than 20 years of
professional experience in infrastructure, telecommunications and the national
space sector.
Prior to his appointment, he
served as Head of the Infrastructure Department at GGPEN, where he was involved
in activities related to the development and management of infrastructure
supporting Angola’s space and telecommunications capabilities.
His appointment to lead
INACOM represents a move that highlights the growing contribution of
specialised technical professionals to Angola’s telecommunications and space
technology sectors.
GGPEN said Lunda’s
appointment reflects the high level of technical expertise and experience
developed within the institution and the contribution of its specialists to the
advancement of Angola’s telecommunications and space industries.
As Executive Director of
INACOM, Lunda will take on a senior leadership role within Angola’s
communications regulatory and institutional landscape, at a time when the
country continues to strengthen its digital and telecommunications
infrastructure.
GGPEN’s Board of Directors
congratulated Lunda on his appointment and reaffirmed the institution’s
commitment to developing highly qualified professionals capable of responding
to emerging challenges in the telecommunications and space sectors.
The institution said
continued investment in specialised human capital remains central to supporting
Angola’s technological development and strengthening its contribution to the
wider African digital and space ecosystem.
