The
School of Engineering Sciences at the University of Ghana has announced the
installation of a new science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM)
laboratory for the College of Basic and Applied Sciences, aimed at enhancing
practical learning and research capabilities.

The
facility was established in partnership with STEMpower Inc. and is expected to
support hands-on training, innovation, and advanced research across engineering
and related disciplines.
Provost
of the College, Sandow Mark Yidana, and Dean of the School of Engineering
Sciences, Elsie Effah Kaufmann, visited the newly installed laboratory to
assess its capabilities ahead of its official commissioning.
University
officials indicated that the state-of-the-art facility will play a critical
role in strengthening experiential learning, equipping students with practical
skills, and fostering innovation within the institution.

The
installation reflects ongoing efforts by the University of Ghana to expand its
STEM infrastructure and build strategic partnerships that support academic
excellence and research development.
