Ghana has convened a technical working group meeting in collaboration with the
Ministry of Energy and Green Transition Ghana and key stakeholders to
strengthen coordination and accelerate Ghana’s transition to renewable energy.
The
meeting focused on aligning priorities, validating implementation roadmaps, and
enhancing coordination mechanisms for the Sustainable Energy and Energy
Efficiency for Climate Protection II (SE4C II) programme.

Stakeholders
reviewed progress on several critical initiatives, including updates to the
Variable Renewable Energy Grid Code, revisions to the Integrated Power Sector
Masterplan, the development of Time-of-Use tariffs, and efforts to address
solar panel end-of-life management.
Officials
noted that the collaborative approach is helping to translate policy into
tangible outcomes, reinforcing Ghana’s commitment to building a sustainable and
climate-resilient energy system.

SE4C
II is an initiative of Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and
Development and is being implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für
Internationale Zusammenarbeit in partnership with the Ministry of Energy and
Green Transition.
