Kenya
has taken part in the official opening of the 11th Ordinary Session of the Pan
African Postal Union Plenipotentiary Conference, where member states are
convening to chart the future of Africa’s postal sector.
The
Kenyan delegation was led by Stephen Isaboke, Principal Secretary in the
Ministry of Information, Communications and the Digital Economy, who joined
representatives from across the continent in discussions on strategic
priorities for the sector.

The
conference brings together policymakers and industry stakeholders to deliberate
on key issues including leadership, innovation, and the digital transformation
of postal services in Africa.
Officials
say the meeting provides a platform for member states to align on policies and
initiatives aimed at modernizing postal systems and strengthening their role in
supporting economic development and digital inclusion across the continent.
