MTN
South Africa has donated laptops to Re Tlameleng School in Kimberley as part of
activities marking Human Rights Day 2026, reinforcing its commitment to digital
inclusion and education.
The
initiative formed part of the Presidential Human Rights Day community outreach,
attended by Cyril Ramaphosa, Gayton McKenzie, and Zamani Saul, alongside other
stakeholders.

Re
Tlameleng School serves learners with physical, visual, and hearing
disabilities, and the donation is aimed at enhancing access to digital tools
within the school’s computer laboratory. MTN said the initiative is part of its
broader efforts to support the development of a digitally empowered and
inclusive society.
The
company noted that expanding access to technology for learners with
disabilities is critical to ensuring equal opportunities and enabling
participation in the digital economy.
Representatives
from MTN’s Central Office, including General Manager Isabel Belle, participated
in the outreach, joining national and provincial leaders in highlighting the
importance of inclusive development.

MTN
South Africa said the initiative reflects its ongoing commitment to
nation-building through education, with a focus on empowering young people with
the tools and skills needed to thrive in an increasingly digital world.
