The Ethiopian Artificial
Intelligence Institute (EAII) has hosted a Danish delegation to explore
opportunities for collaboration in artificial intelligence and emerging
technologies, building on existing cooperation between Ethiopia and Denmark in
areas including agriculture and education.
During the visit, Shambel
Yilma, Head of the Director General’s Office and Technology Affairs Advisor at
EAII, briefed the delegation on the institute’s ongoing activities across
various sectors and its efforts to leverage artificial intelligence to support
Ethiopia’s national development priorities.
The delegation highlighted
the potential for the institute’s work to strengthen the longstanding
partnership between Ethiopia and Denmark in technology, while expanding
cooperation into artificial intelligence.
The visit also included a
tour of EAII’s facilities and discussions on potential areas for future
collaboration in AI and emerging technologies.
