M-PESA Africa has hosted its
1Fintech and Group Partnerships Chief Executive Officer, Mariam Cassim, and
Chief Commercial Officer, Epimack Mbeteni, in Nairobi for a series of
engagements with employees, customers and merchants.
The visit provided an
opportunity for the senior executives to engage directly with teams and users
of M-PESA services and gain insights into the experiences and needs shaping the
digital financial services market.
During the engagements, the
executives met customers and merchants, highlighting the role of digital
financial services in supporting small businesses, households and individuals
across Africa.
M-PESA Africa said the
interactions reinforced the importance of innovation, collaboration and
customer-focused solutions in advancing financial inclusion across the
continent.
The visit concluded with a
town hall meeting during which Cassim and Mbeteni shared their vision for the
1Fintech Group and outlined ambitions to expand access to financial services,
create greater economic opportunities and develop digital solutions that
respond to the evolving needs of customers.
The leadership engagement
comes as digital financial services continue to play a growing role in
expanding access to financial products and supporting economic activity across
African markets.
M-PESA Africa said it will
continue working with its employees, customers and merchant network to develop
solutions aimed at making financial services more accessible, relevant and
impactful.
