MTN MoMo Uganda has
reaffirmed its partnership with Onafriq as the two companies explore
opportunities to strengthen cross-border payments and international remittance
services for Ugandans and businesses.
The engagement took place
during a partner meeting between MTN MoMo Uganda Managing Director Phrase
Lubega and Grace Anyetei, Regional General Manager for Southeast Asia at
Onafriq.
The meeting provided an
opportunity for the companies to review their existing partnership, discuss
emerging opportunities and reaffirm their commitment to improving the
accessibility, speed and security of international money transfers.
Onafriq is one of MTN MoMo
Uganda’s international remittance partners, supporting cross-border money
transfers that enable Ugandans to receive funds from outside the country.
MTN MoMo Uganda said
continued engagement with strategic partners such as Onafriq will be important
in developing solutions that respond to the needs of customers and businesses
while expanding access to convenient and reliable financial services.
The companies are expected
to continue working together to identify new opportunities to enhance
cross-border payment and remittance services in Uganda and beyond.
