MTN South Sudan, Football Federation discuss partnership to support growth of local sport

MTN South Sudan has held discussions with the South Sudan Football Federation (SSFF) on opportunities to strengthen football development and create greater opportunities for players and emerging talent in the country.

The SSFF President, Francis Amin, and members of his team visited MTN House, where they met with MTN South Sudan CEO Mapula Bodibe and her management team.

The discussions focused on the challenges confronting football in South Sudan, opportunities for the sport’s development and potential areas of collaboration to support its continued growth.

The engagement also highlighted the importance of partnerships between the private sector and sports institutions in developing local talent and creating sustainable opportunities for footballers.

MTN South Sudan said collaboration with the football community can contribute to nurturing emerging talent and strengthening the structures supporting the country’s football ecosystem.

The meeting comes as stakeholders continue to explore ways to expand opportunities for young footballers and promote the development of sport in South Sudan.

Both sides reaffirmed the importance of continued engagement and partnership in supporting the growth of football and creating a stronger future for the sport in the country.
