The Ethiopian Artificial Intelligence Institute, in partnership with Addis Ababa University and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), has launched a two-week bootcamp training programme aimed at strengthening the capacity of artificial intelligence startups operating at the Minimum Viable Product (MVP) stage.

The programme brings together 25 AI-focused startups, providing participants with intensive training and mentorship designed to help them transform innovative ideas into viable products and prepare them for market adoption.

The bootcamp focuses on enhancing startups’ ability to develop AI-driven solutions by assessing the feasibility, scalability, and practical application of their technologies. Participants are being guided on how to refine their concepts, strengthen product development processes, and build solutions that address real-world challenges.

Technical support is being provided by experts from the Ethiopian Artificial Intelligence Institute, while business development and market strategy guidance are being delivered by experienced professionals in entrepreneurship and innovation.

Throughout the programme, participants will explore key areas of the AI ecosystem, including startup growth strategies, technology commercialisation, and opportunities within the emerging artificial intelligence landscape.

The initiative forms part of broader efforts to nurture Ethiopia’s AI innovation ecosystem by equipping local startups with the skills, knowledge, and networks needed to develop competitive AI solutions and contribute to the country’s digital transformation agenda.
