Rwanda is discussing potential
collaboration opportunities with an Israeli satellite launching company as part
of efforts to strengthen its space ecosystem and advance national space
capabilities.
The Ministry of ICT and
Innovation hosted representatives from the Israeli space company for
discussions focused on Rwanda’s growing ambitions in the space sector,
including capacity building, knowledge transfer, and the development of
sovereign space capabilities.
The engagement forms part of
Rwanda’s broader efforts to leverage space technologies to support innovation,
industrial development, and national development priorities under the country’s
National Strategy for Transformation 2 (NST2).
The discussions highlighted
opportunities for cooperation in areas that could enhance Rwanda’s technical
expertise, expand local capabilities, and support the growth of a sustainable
space industry.
Through strategic
partnerships and investment in emerging technologies, Rwanda continues to
position space innovation as a key component of its digital transformation
agenda and efforts to build advanced technological capacity.
