Mauritius Telecom has been
recognised by TP-Link as the 2026 Best Partner for Home Connectivity Innovation
for its Smart WiFi Mesh solution, designed to improve internet coverage and
user experience in homes across Mauritius.
The award recognises
Mauritius Telecom’s efforts to address challenges affecting household
connectivity, including thick concrete walls, multi-level homes, and the
increasing number of connected devices that can impact WiFi performance even
when fibre connections are operating effectively.
Developed using TP-Link
technology and supported by local technology partner CompuSpeed, Smart WiFi
Mesh provides wider and more consistent wireless coverage by enabling devices
to automatically connect to the strongest available WiFi access point within a
home.
Mauritius Telecom said the
solution was introduced to ensure customers can fully benefit from high-speed
internet connectivity throughout their homes, rather than being limited by weak
WiFi coverage in certain areas.
The company also introduced
an affordable two-year subscription model for the service, allowing customers
to access the technology without a major upfront investment.
Mauritius Telecom said the
recognition reflects its focus on developing practical connectivity solutions
based on the everyday needs of households and improving how people work, learn,
stream, and communicate.
The company added that
partnerships with TP-Link, CompuSpeed, and internal teams have been central to
delivering solutions that enhance the digital experience for Mauritian
customers.
