Nationale du Service Universel des Télécommunications has been recognized at
the African CIO Awards 2026, receiving an award in the “AI for Good &
Sustainability” category.
The
award was presented following the participation of Patrick Somet, Director of
Digital Transformation and Innovation at ANSUT, who represented the institution
during the competition, which featured leading projects from across the
continent.

Director
General Gilles Beugre said the recognition reflects ANSUT’s strategic vision of
leveraging digital technologies and artificial intelligence as key drivers of
economic and social transformation.
The
institution highlighted initiatives such as Jùlaba and Cockpit as examples of
its commitment to developing innovative, high-impact digital solutions that
address societal challenges and promote inclusive development.

ANSUT
was ranked among the top three projects in its category, underscoring its role
in advancing digital transformation and strengthening its position as a leading
player in technology-driven development in Africa.
