Global telecom leaders convene in Geneva for 33rd TDAG meeting

The Chair of the Advisory Group on Digital Regulation Development, Regina Fleur A. Bessou has opened the 33rd meeting of the Telecommunication Development Advisory Group (TDAG), held from April 7 to 10, 2026, in Geneva, Switzerland.

The meeting, organized under the International Telecommunication Union, brings together global stakeholders to review priorities set during the World Telecommunication Development Conference 2025 (WTDC-25) and assess the implementation of the Baku Plan of Action.

Participants are also examining the future direction of the Telecommunication Development Bureau (BDT), with a focus on delivering agile, inclusive, and high-impact initiatives to support member states.

The session was attended by ITU Secretary-General Doreen Bogdan-Martin, BDT Director Cosmas Luckyson Zavazava, and Director of the Radiocommunication Sector Seizo Onoe.

Discussions are expected to strengthen international cooperation and advance efforts to expand sustainable and inclusive global connectivity.
