The
Mauritius Research and Innovation Council has convened an information session
aimed at supporting researchers, universities and small and medium-sized
enterprises in accessing funding opportunities under the European Union’s
Horizon Europe programme.

The
session, held at the Telecom Campus in Ebene Cybercity, brought together 108
stakeholders from across the research and innovation ecosystem, including
representatives from public and private tertiary institutions, research
organisations, non-governmental organisations and industry.
The
event was attended by Kaviraj Sharma Sukon, alongside Khemduth Singh Angateeah
and Theesan Bahorun.

Discussions
focused on guiding participants through application processes and strengthening
collaboration among stakeholders to enhance participation in international
research and innovation programmes.
Organisers
said the session forms part of ongoing efforts to foster innovation, build
partnerships and position Mauritius more strongly within global research
networks.
