Uganda’s
National ICT Innovation Hub has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with
Milima Technologies Uganda aimed at strengthening cybersecurity capacity and
supporting the country’s growing innovation ecosystem.
The
partnership will focus on equipping young innovators with practical
cybersecurity skills through training programmes, workshops, mentorship, and
collaborative initiatives. It also seeks to create opportunities for knowledge
sharing, research, and innovation in response to evolving digital security
needs.

Both
institutions indicated that the collaboration is designed to build the
technical capacity required for individuals and organisations to operate
effectively in an increasingly digital environment. The initiative places
particular emphasis on developing talent and fostering innovation as key
drivers of Uganda’s digital transformation agenda.
The
agreement is expected to contribute to the growth of a skilled workforce
capable of addressing cybersecurity challenges while supporting the broader
development of the country’s technology ecosystem.
