Rwanda, South Sudan explore collaboration on AI and cybersecurity

Rwanda’s
Minister of ICT and Innovation, Paula Ingabire has received Hon. Ateny Wek
Ateny, South Sudan’s Minister of Information, Communication Technology and
Postal Services, for a courtesy meeting on the sidelines of the 4th EAC
Regional Science, Technology and Innovation Conference.
The
discussions focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation in areas of mutual
interest, including capacity building, knowledge exchange, and collaboration in
emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence and cybersecurity.
Both
ministers highlighted the importance of regional partnerships in fostering
innovation, enhancing digital skills, and promoting secure and responsible
technology adoption across East Africa.
