Networks Zambia Plc has held its Annual General Meeting at the Mulungushi
International Conference Centre, marking a milestone in the company’s growth
trajectory.
The
telecommunications firm reported robust performance across key financial and
operational metrics in 2025. The customer base reached 12.5 million, a 12.2%
increase year-on-year, while revenue rose by 25.7%. Operating profit increased
by 35.9%, and net profit grew by 40.9%, with earnings per share hitting a
record ZMW 16.95, up 40.9%.

These
results were supported by continued investment in network expansion, with
US$107 million deployed to launch 406 new sites and expand Airtel Zambia’s 5G
footprint to over 505 sites. The network now covers 91.6% of the population,
bringing an additional 370,000 Zambians online.
The
company was also recognised as the highest taxpayer in the ICT sector,
reflecting its contributions to national development. Airtel Zambia emphasized
that its focus on expanding access, increasing points of sale, and enhancing
customer experience underpins its strategy to strengthen the country’s digital
infrastructure.
