Ghana’s President,
John Dramani Mahama has led the disbursement of funds to youth-owned businesses
under the government’s flagship Adwumawura Programme, aimed at supporting
entrepreneurship and startup development across Ghana.
The initiative seeks to
provide financial support to at least 10,000 youth-led businesses annually, as
part of broader efforts to promote job creation, innovation, and economic
growth.
The disbursement was carried
out in collaboration with the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation
Programme, which is responsible for implementing the initiative and ensuring
that beneficiaries receive the necessary support to grow their businesses.
Officials say the programme
reflects the government’s commitment to empowering young entrepreneurs and
strengthening Ghana’s startup ecosystem through targeted investments and
partnerships.
